Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) instructed Balfour Beatty to complete the extension of the existing Precast multi-storey car park at Terminal 2 Dublin Airport. The extension provides an additional four floors above an existing two storey Precast car park, increasing capacity by an additional 1,300 spaces. Determined by cranage limitations, Balfour Beatty choose to construct the extension utilising a hybrid steel frame structure clad with Precast spandrel panels in order to match the exterior of the existing 2 story Precast structure below. Concast provided a comprehensive service including design, manufacture, delivery and installation of cladding and spandrel panels for all four levels, two Precast four storey curved vehicle ramps and a total of eight Precast access cores. The cladding panels used on the access cores were coloured with an acrylic render which was applied in our factory during manufacture.
